Overview:The ERM team is composed of Actuaries, CFA charter holders, and risk professionals and is tasked with, among other things:Identifying and assessing risksDeveloping and testing of the Company’s risk appetiteDeveloping risk policies, and establishing risk tolerances, and limitsRisk monitoring; and internal and external risk reporting Primary Responsibilities:Oversee the preparation of enterprise risk reports for Talcott Resolution’s Board of Directors, senior leadership team, risk committees, regulators, and rating agencies. Reporting can cover a variety of areas including but not limited to current and stressed exposures, limit exceptions, and derivatives and general account portfolio compliance reportDrive effective communication to accurately represent Talcott Resolution’s risk profile to senior leadership and applicable risk committees. Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of Talcott’s risk appetite and stress testing frameworkDevelop and implement risk management policies and strategies in compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic objectivesDevelop methodologies for the assessment and ongoing monitoring of risks using both quantitative and qualitative tools and metricsPartner with the risk committee chairs to develop agendas and execute deliverables for the risk committee meetings Liaise with Investment Management, Finance and Actuarial teams to assess impact of new strategies and potential deals on Talcott Resolution’s risk profileQualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher; FSA or CFA designation preferred but not required3-5 years of experience in a risk, compliance, or credit related job discipline, including but not limited to financial risk, credit risk, enterprise risk, and/or compliance managementFinancial industry, banking, or insurance experience preferredStrong technical skills, experience with SQL and Excel VBA preferredProject management skills; ability to drive tasks effectively to completionStrong attention to detail and well organizedAbility to prioritize, multi-task, work independently and work well under aggressive deadlines while delivering superior outcomesStrong communicator with excellent verbal, written and listening skillsQuick learner and able to drive continuous improvement beyond own scope of responsibility; able to constructively challenge status quoCompensation:The annualized base pay range is mainly based on an evaluation of comparable positions in the external market. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott’s total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:$60,000 - $85,000
